Ferrovial SA’s Subsidiary has won Infrastructure Maintenance Contract In Sheffield.
Reuters reported that Ferrovial SA’s subsidiary, Ferrovial Services, through its subsidiary Amey, has been selected as preferred bidder for a contract to maintain Sheffield’s infrastructure in a project worth GBP 2 billion (EUR 2.425 billion) in revenues. The contract includes a 5-year program of upgrades to the city’s infrastructure, followed by maintenance for 25 years. The Ferrovial Services subsidiary will take responsibility for improving and maintaining 1,900 km of road, 68,000 streetlights, 500 traffic signals, 600 bridges and other structures, 2,400 retaining walls and 35,000 highway trees across the city. The contract will also create 170 jobs, including over 30 for apprentices and graduates.
